1920s Art Deco Handkerchiefs in Original Printed Box

We're dating this set of monogrammed hankies to vintage 20's or 30's. The hankies are lovely Irish linen specimens, monogrammed with "T", and each one bordered in a different colour: blue, purple, pink or golden yellow. They're still folded up nicely in the original box, with a satin ribbon bow and a Made in Ireland sticker with the product number written on in fountain pen.

It's the box that's the real star, though, with a wild and fiery flame-like print on the lid in orange, red, blue, green, black, white and metallic gold. It's very rare to come across packaging like this, and it's a lucky find. Please check out our shop as we have a few more of these just waiting for the right collector!

COLOR:
Box lid: Orange, red, green, blue,black, gold, white.
Hankies: Cream white with pink, purple, blue and yellow borders on each. White satin ribbon. Green and white label.

MATERIAL: Linen hankies. Satin ribbon. Cardboard box. Paper labels.

MEASUREMENTS:
Box: 8 1/8 x 8 1/8 in. (20.7 cm x 20.7 cm)
Hankies: Hankies: 7 1/2 x 8 in. (19 x 20.2 cm)

CONDITION:

Box:
The lid is in great condition with no marks, tears or wear.
The underside of the lid is slightly yellowed, with one small mark.
The base shows several orange spots, a few other marks, including handwriting in pencil "Thelma Vidona"

Hankies:
There is some orange residue on the corner of the blue hanky.
Possibly some overall darkening on each hanky, but mostly seem to be fine.
These are sold as presented: they are new old stock and in their original folds and box, and are pinned to a tissue paper lining.
