This is a beautiful 1920s devore silk velvet dress. The velvet features a beautiful art deco pattern in rich, burgundy red. The dress presents well as a wearable piece for photoshoots, or to use for study, or pattern development. There many condition notes so please read them thoroughly. The design features long dolman sleeves that have snaps at the hems. The waistline is dropped and seamed with a scallop detail to a contrasting deep, burgundy silk satin. The back neck has a keyhole that closes with a snap, but was left undone for this photo.
Priced As Is.
MATERIAL: Silk Satin, Silk Devore Velvet
CONDITION: Fair but delicately wearable condition. The lining for the bodice is sheer burgundy silk chiffon. It is very torn across the centre back, and there is some staining on the front of the lining neckline. We recommend removing the lining for the bodice and replace it. The devore velvet fabric is weak along the shoulders and neckline and there are tears in the fabric along the front and back neckline and shoulders.
