Beautiful crimson red Italian made wool coat by the luxury designer brand Genny. The knit is thick and weighty, and features a long row of covered buttons down the front. There is a pleat detail at the centre of the pockets, and the sleeves are cut in one with the body of the coat, seamed to panels on the side with an underarm gusset. There are shoulder pads to emphasize the 80s silhouette of the sloped shoulder, and there is no collar, so it's perfect for wearing a scarf!
Genny was established in 1962 by Arnaldo and Donatella Girombelli, and quickly became a popular luxury Italian brand. In 1973, Gianni Versace became creative director, and the line continued to operate throughout the following decades with different creative directors. It is still in operation today, made in Italy, and presents at Milan Fashion week!

CONDITION: Excellent overall. There is a tiny moth bite along the neckline and one small moth bite on the back. Not noticeable. There is some discolouration on the lining of one shoulder and a stain on the lining near the side seam but they are not visible from the outside.
