Vintage 1930s Blue Floral Dress and Grey Coat Set, Small

Late 1930s day dress and coat set.

The mid-length dress has a blue floral rayon top and short sleeves with a grey wool waist and skirt. It has blue plastic buttons on the centre-front with the top three functional, with loops, which can be left open to form a little revere. It has a V shaped yoke and a gathered bust and back. Inverted pleat at the back of the skirt. Comes with a matching rayon belt.

The coat fabric is the same as the dress skirt fabric and has three gorgeous round green marbled buttons, matching at the cuffs. It is beautifully made. The large pointed lapel is fabulous and compliments the panels extending from the front and back seams, highlighting the shoulders. The neck collar features topstitching. It is lined in silvery-grey satin and features an inner breast patch pocket.

CONDITION: 
Dress:
Makeup on front neck.
Discolouration at underarms. Holes in right underarm.
Some light stains on the belt.
Slight discolouration on skirt. Some distress above pleat with previous repair made. 
Coat:
A stain on the front left panel.
Multiple holes, many of which have been hand stitched in previous repairs. Mostly visible on left lapel and sleeves.
Some discolouration.
Some stains and holes on the lining also.

*Please note that the dress does not have any openings such as a back or side zip. The customer who purchases this would need to install one in order to be able to put the dress on. We have priced it to reflect this alteration cost as well as the other imperfections noted above.

Shipping Information

Our studio hours are Monday - Friday from 9am to 5pm EST. Our studio is closed on the weekends and therefore staff are not available for shipping orders on the weekends.

All purchases are shipped through either Canada Post, USPS or Asendia via ChitChats. If you have a FEDEX account, we would be glad to use that if you prefer, please email your FEDEX number to us at iandrummondvintage@gmail.com after your purchase. 

We make two weekly trips to the Chit Chats post office, usually on Monday and Friday afternoons. If you need your item shipped express, you may choose this option at checkout. If there are additional costs from what you are quoted at checkout, we will contact you before shipping and bill you via Paypal.

We use Chit Chats or Canada Post's/USPS' "Find a Rate" calculator to set our shipping profiles. Shipping upgrades are offered wherever possible. We will happily provide more exact shipping quotes and make adjustments with your address provided. We will combine orders upon request.
