A fabulous 40s coral skirt suit with a slightly flared skirt and tailored blazer. The skirt is high waisted with a side metal zipper and centre back vent. It is unlined. The jacket has cute little X appliques on either side of the front chest and top-entry waist pockets. There are 5 covered buttons on the centre front and the sleeves are cuffed. Includes shoulder pads and lining.

Russeks started out as a furrier in the early 1900s and expanded to become a large department store with a fifth avenue NY location, along with many others. The famed photographer Diane Arbus is the granddaughter of the store's founder. The fifth avenue store closed in 1959 and the rest followed suit thereafter.
