Stunning 1950s evening gown with sleeveless velour bodice and mid-length balloon taffeta skirt. Deep plunging V back with huge bow feature- gorgeous! Matching bows on tops of shoulders. Round, scoop neckline. Waist panel is gathered vertically in the centre. Plastic zipper (a more recent addition) and hook closure at rear. Bow uses snap fasteners to set in place.

Length from shoulder to waist: 17 in. (43 cm)
Length from waist to hem: 29 in. (73.5 cm)
Top of shoulder to point of V in back: 19 in. (48 cm)
Top of shoulder to bust point: 11 in. (28 cm)
-There are separate panels at the tops of the shoulders- these look like a later addition to the dress as they are a different colour of velour. The straps are also very long, which makes us think this was altered for someone. These panels are covered with the bows, so they are hidden. This alteration could be reversed. The bows have some moth holes in them.
-One of the snaps for the rear bow needs to be re-sewn.
