Vintage 20s/30s Navy Silk Robe/Dress, Medium, Antique Silk Dropwaist Dress with Side Tie, Large
This is a unique layering robe made from a deep, navy blue silk. It has a wrap construction, with a deep V neckline, and decorative buttons on the side at the waist tie. There are gathers on the front yokes below the shoulders, and the cut is quite loose and relaxed. The sleeves button closed to cuffs. The fabric is a bit sheer, will need a slip underneath. The dress likely had a snap or hook and eye closure on the inner panel, but it is missing. The neckline falls quite open and deep, but we've shown in the photo what it could ideally look like with the snaps.

CONDITION: Good overall, the silk is a bit weak in a few areas on the back and near the shoulder seams, there is a faint fade line that looks like it is in the fabric weave. There is a small stain near the hem on the left front side. The left sleeve and right sleeve have a small gap in the seams on the front. There is a small hole on the elbow of the left sleeve. There was likely a hook and eye or snap located on the inside panel of the left front that would have kept it closed over. Now it is just open, this could be customized by you to decide where you'd like the neckline to fall, or leave it as a layer to wear over slip or style open. Priced As Is.

Our studio hours are Monday - Friday from 9am to 5pm EST. Our studio is closed on the weekends and therefore staff are not available for shipping orders on the weekends.
All purchases are shipped through either Canada Post, USPS or Asendia via ChitChats. If you have a FEDEX account, we would be glad to use that if you prefer, please email your FEDEX number to us at iandrummondvintage@gmail.com after your purchase.
We make two weekly trips to the Chit Chats post office, usually on Monday and Friday afternoons. If you need your item shipped express, you may choose this option at checkout. If there are additional costs from what you are quoted at checkout, we will contact you before shipping and bill you via Paypal.
We use Chit Chats or Canada Post's/USPS' "Find a Rate" calculator to set our shipping profiles. Shipping upgrades are offered wherever possible. We will happily provide more exact shipping quotes and make adjustments with your address provided. We will combine orders upon request.
