We recently launched our new Holiday collection of vintage womenswear for the season, and these looks are just to die for, if we do say so ourselves! As always, buying vintage is the best way to shop, but especially at this time of year when over-consumption is so high. So, support a small business, shop ethically, and look great while doing it!
These pieces were modelled by the lovely Tyra Jutai
First up, we have a sheer white striped 70s blouse with a wide collar and ties at the front. It is paired with a gorgeous 50s red velveteen circle skirt that has a Basque waist. This look would be so cute worn on Christmas Eve, preparing for the celebrations of the following day. Or indeed, on Christmas morning opening presents! It's giving sexy Mrs. Claus vibes and we say embrace it!
Next, we have a 1920s red velvet maxi dress with a cranberry pattern- how perfect! This special piece needs to be worn to a formal event like a Yule ball! We can see it paired with a fur cape. Trés chic!
This black velvet dress encrusted with diamanté's is the perfect thing to wear to a Christmas or New Year's party. It's a mini, so wear it with your highest heels to show off those legs to your crush! You might even get a kiss under the mistletoe!
This 2 piece burgundy velvet skirt suit could be worn to meet family or friends for lunch. We've paired it here with a beige blouse, but it could be styled in different ways! Simple, elegant and perfect for the season.
Here we have another skirt suit, but this one comes with a matching shawl! It is from French label Lily Simon and features a houndstooth pattern and is trimmed with fur. This could again be worn to meet family or friends for lunch, but it would also be great while out Christmas shopping if you wanted to look extra stylish with your shopping bags! We keep seeing this as something a character in a 90s New York Christmas movie would wear!
Here, we have an 80s purple velvet dress with tiered taffeta skirt and sash belt. A great little festive party dress!
This is the first of three black 80s dresses with bows we have in this collection! This one is by Irish designer Lorcan Mullany, who was one of Princess Diana's favourite designers back in the day. This piece is ruched diagonally across the body with one half made in velvet and the other in crepe. There bows adorn the ruched seam. Just a great Winter party dress all round!
We've put this STUNNING maroon velvet coat over the previous dress. It features embroidery along the lower half and a faux fur collar, from the London luxury brand Favourbrook. Just exquisite.
Ice Queen vibes! This is a 60s seafoam green and silver lurex sleeveless dress, worn with a mid century knitted bed jacket that has marabou trim and a baby blue chiffon lining. We think it works perfectly as a cardigan-so cute! This dress is dying to sparkle under the Christmas lights!
The king of 80s glam Victor Costa brings us this GORGEOUS black lace dress with cascading back ruffle and large shoulder bow. Oh so elegant!
And our final dress- an 80s black drop waist number with more big bows! It has a textured fabric and the skirt is a bubble skirt style, percent for a party and bang on trend for this year!
