1920s Art Deco Handkerchiefs with Box, Butterfly Print

Butterfly time! We're dating this handkerchief gift box set to vintage 20's or vintage 30's. It's new old stock in the original box, withall the original fancy folds and a decorative ribbon to top it off. Made in Switzerland, it's a set pf two soft cotton or linen hankies (very fine) with scalloped, embroidered eges, and lovely delicate multicolor embroidered bouquets on each one.

However, it's the box lid that's the real star, with a great splashy butterfly floral pattern in green, lavender, silver and gold on a coral orange ground. We have several of these stunning art deco sets for sale, so please feel free to check our shop for more!

LABEL: 6 Made in Switzerland. Handwritten on bottom: "To Donna from Aunt Pat"

COLOR:
Box Lid: Orange, green, lavender, gold, silver.
Hankies: Off white, blue, brown, yellow, purple, red.

MATERIAL: Cotton or linen. Cardboard box. Satin ribbon. Paper label.

MEASUREMENTS:
Box: 7 x 7 in. (17.8 cm)
Hankies: 9 x 9 in. (23 x 23 cm)

CONDITION:
Box Lid: One corner is split.
Box Base: Handwriting in ball point pen. A few scuffs and marks.
Hankies: There are a few brown marks on each.
These hankies are sold as presented in their original folds and box. We have done our best to note any damage without disturbing the original presentation. Please refer to photos and feel free to ask any questions.

Shipping Information

Our studio hours are Monday - Friday from 9am to 5pm EST. Our studio is closed on the weekends and therefore staff are not available for shipping orders on the weekends.

All purchases are shipped through either Canada Post, USPS or Asendia via ChitChats. If you have a FEDEX account, we would be glad to use that if you prefer, please email your FEDEX number to us at iandrummondvintage@gmail.com after your purchase. 

We make two weekly trips to the Chit Chats post office, usually on Monday and Friday afternoons. If you need your item shipped express, you may choose this option at checkout. If there are additional costs from what you are quoted at checkout, we will contact you before shipping and bill you via Paypal.

We use Chit Chats or Canada Post's/USPS' "Find a Rate" calculator to set our shipping profiles. Shipping upgrades are offered wherever possible. We will happily provide more exact shipping quotes and make adjustments with your address provided. We will combine orders upon request.
