Oh, this is so gorgeous! There's no label, but the beautiful rhinestone and bead-encrusted frame on this top handle evening bag is very similar to other bags made by Walborg, and likely dates to the 1950s or early 1960s. The white beaded purse is quite roomy, and is lined in white satin with a small mirror or comb pocket. However, it's the frame and clasp that mesmerizes, with such dense beadwork that the sparkle just keeps on going - it reminds us of a secret underwater treasure! Whether you're headed out to the prom, or need some extra sparkle for your special wedding, this is sure to fit the bill!
COLOR: White beads, white lining, clear beads and rhinestones on gold tone metal frame.
MATERIAL: Glass, metal, satin.
CONDITION: Other than one loose 1/4 in. strand of beads at the bottom of the bag, some uniform darkening of the lining, and some wear on the handle near the hinges, this bag is in excellent shape. The white beaded handle has slight bead loss near the hinges, but it could likely be repaired. The frame is the real star, and it's in beautiful shape, with just a tiny bit of loose beadwork at the base of the clasp!
