1970s Parrot Applique Circle Skirt, Made in France, Waist 26"

1970s Parrot Applique Circle Skirt, Made in France, Waist 26"

Amazing 1950s style circle skirt by French Riviera designer Catherine I for Philippe Salvet. This designer's pieces are rare to find, but beautiful crafted from excellent materials, and all made in France during the 1970s and 80s. We believe this skirt is from the 1970s.

It is a full circle skirt, with a large red parrot appliqued on the right side, with embroidered leaves on the background. The skirt is seamed down the centre front and back, and zips closed with a metal zipper at the back. The waistband has belt loops, and there are two side pockets. The cotton is a crisp broadcloth, in a rich sand colour. This would be a lovely skirt to walking along the boardwalk in your favourite beachside town!
