Antique Edwardian 1910s Beaded Green Net Overdress/ Tabard, Small

This is a very rare Edwardian net tabard overdress that is made of a fine green mesh and fully beaded with tiny seed beads all over and larger green crystal jewel beads. There are intricately embroidered lines that create leaves and shapes with metallic thread wrapping around them, and embroidered dots throughout. There is a large jewelled emblem stitched on the centre front. The front features two large slits on each side and the hem is trimmed in long beaded tassels.

COLOR: Light Green, Dark Green, Gold, Black

MATERIAL: Netting, Silk Thread, Glass Beads

CONDITION: Very good condition. The beads are intact throughout, but a few have fallen from the tassels along the bottom. One of the green jewels on the front is unstitched on one side. There is one large hole in the netting on the right side near the side seam. The back left side edge has a small area of the border unstitched near the very bottom towards the centre back seam. There is some very fine, eyelash like shedding happening that appears to be coming from the black stitching throughout. This is a museum-worthy piece and would be best for study or display.

Shipping Information

Our studio hours are Monday - Friday from 9am to 5pm EST. Our studio is closed on the weekends and therefore staff are not available for shipping orders on the weekends.

All purchases are shipped through either Canada Post, USPS or Asendia via ChitChats. If you have a FEDEX account, we would be glad to use that if you prefer, please email your FEDEX number to us at iandrummondvintage@gmail.com after your purchase. 

We make two weekly trips to the Chit Chats post office, usually on Monday and Friday afternoons. If you need your item shipped express, you may choose this option at checkout. If there are additional costs from what you are quoted at checkout, we will contact you before shipping and bill you via Paypal.

We use Chit Chats or Canada Post's/USPS' "Find a Rate" calculator to set our shipping profiles. Shipping upgrades are offered wherever possible. We will happily provide more exact shipping quotes and make adjustments with your address provided. We will combine orders upon request.
