This is a vintage 50s era short-sleeved cocktail dress made of black velour. It is a medium weight with a full skirt gathered at the waist. There are slanted flap features below the waist to the sides; however, there are no pockets. There is a metal side zipper closure. The bodice has 3 large covered buttons up the centre front. The neckline can be fully closed with a snap fastener close to the neck, or it can be left open to create a V neckline or revere. The sleeves are cuffed. Has shoulder pads. Unlined.
MATERIAL: Cotton velour
There is one chain stitch belt loop on the left side, but the right side one is missing.
One area on the back side seam where the top stitching is loose.
